Symptoms


Chickenpox often starts with a fever, headache, sore throat, or  stomach-ache. These symptoms will last for a few days before the rash of blisters appear. The fever is around 38C0 but there are exceptions like not having the fever or higher. After 1-2 days chickenpox begin to take its form as a small group of red, itchy spots that look like pimples or bug bites. It is usually less than 2 cm wide. After 2-4 day they turn into blisters filled with fluid. It usually takes 14-16 days for a child to get infected to the disease when he or she is with someone that has the virus, this period is called the incubation period. It takes 1-2 days for the blister to go through all of its stages, this includes blistering, bursting, drying and crusting and it repeat for 5-7 days. These circumstances are only applied for children that are under or around 12 years old. If you were an adolescent or an adult that have Chickenpox, you would have longer fever, stronger headache or sore throat, it will take longer to heal, and it will even cause complication like varicella pneumonia.
